The son of a petrol station worker who took advantage of the free education at Shaheen Pre University Science College has grabbed the attention by cracking the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) in the current year.
Muhammad Mehraj Sofisab Angadi of Hattigodur village in Shahapura taluk of Yadgiri district is a talent who blossomed in poverty.

Gujarat Rashid and Ashrafi brothers on wheelchair crack JEE (Social Media)
It is often said that adversity brings out the best in man and these brothers from Borsad town of Anand are an example.
On Sunday, Mohammad Rashid Pathan qualified in JEE (Advanced) in the persons with disabilities (PWD) category despite being on wheelchair.
This has come as double joy to his family as Rashid succeeded the triumph of his wheelchair bound elder brother Ashrafi who qualified in JEE (Mains) in 2019.

Nearly 18 lakh candidates from India appeared for the NEET UG exam in the year 2022.
Many Madrasa pass-out students secured good marks in NEET 2022, 10 plus Madrasa Pass-out Hafiz students of Shaheen College Bidar are expected to attain Government MBBS seats, Four of which scored above 600 Marks. However, among hundreds of students, the Hafiz students have achieved something truly remarkable in the Shaheen Group of institutions. Despite never having attended school or studied subjects such as science, mathematics, or languages other than Arabic and Urdu prior to that. The Shaheen Institute’s Academic Intensive Care Unit’ assisted them in achieving excellence and obtaining free government seats in prestigious medical colleges. The institution prepares Hafiz students for competitive examinations in medical and other professions in a unique but successful Model.
Like every year in NEET, the college has got the best results this year as well, 450 plus students are expected to secure Government MBBS seats said Dr. Abdul Qadeer Chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions.
12 students who have completed the Hafiz course in Madrasa, studied a Basic course in our institution and completed PUC have performed well in NEET. Among the overall achievers, there are a large number of students who have studied in government schools, Kannada medium, and rural areas, he added.
Speaking to THG, Mohammed Ali Iqbal a Madrasa graduate said: I am very happy as I got 680 marks in NEET. Ali Iqbal, who completed the Hafiz course and emerged as the topper in Shaheen College, said that his medical course dream has come true due to Shaheen’s Academic Intensive Care Unit for Dropouts.

At least ten Madrasa pass-outs called Hafiz have cleared the NEET examination after receiving coaching from the Shaheen Group of Institutions of Bidar, Karnataka, and four of them have scored above 600 marks and my most likely be eligible for admissions to the coveted government medical colleges.
According to a spokesperson of the Shaheen group of Institutions, these ten students were admitted to the “Academic Intensive Care Unit for the dropouts” – an abridged course that prepares these students for entrance examinations. He said they came to them with knowledge of Arabic and Urdu languages.

Like the previous years, this year also the Shaheen group of Institution’s result for the NEET examination is impressive. The management is expecting that more than 450 students will get admissions into government medical colleges.
Dr. Abdul Qadir, Head of the Shaheen group said that 12 students who completed the Hafiz course in Madrasa studied for a basic course in the Shaheen group of institutions by doing a bridge course and have done well in the NEET.
Besides the Madrasa pass-outs, a large number of students who cleared the NEET are from the government schools, Kannada medium, and, rural areas.
Madrasa graduate Mohammad Ali Iqbal said, “I am very happy because I have got 680 marks in NEET.” He had completed his Hafiz course and emerged as a topper in Shaheen College and s all set to realize his dream of getting admission into a Medical college after studying in the Shaheen Institutions.
Muslims girls who have qualified from Sikhawati region who cleared NEET

At least five Muslim girls from the Shekhawati district of Rajasthan have cleared the entrance examination for the Medical colleges through NEET-2022.
In comparison with the other parts of Rajasthan, the trend of women’s education, especially among the minority community, has been on the upswing in the Shekhawati district for the last two-three decades.
Zainab Malwan, daughter of Professor Raj Malwan of the Government College, Sikar, has secured 870th position in the All India list of the NEET result. Ishrat Khan from Bissau has secured 667th rank in All India and Farhana from Nuh village has secured 8336th rank in NEET.list of successful candidates. Rizwana of Balod Bade village has secured 4871st rank, and Tanjim Bano of Modawasi village has secured 5981 ranks in the final list of successful candidates for the NEET examinations.

Students of Hubballi and Dharwad have done well in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to medical courses, with several students scoring above 600 marks
Students of Hubballi and Dharwad have done well in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical courses, with several scoring above 600 marks.
Gagan Thimmanagoudar of KLE Society’s P.C. Jabin PU College has secured 681 out of 720 marks topping in the college. Vachana Ammanagi has secured 541 marks, Principal V.R. Waghmode has said in a release.
Ananya Karpur, of Veman Vidyavardhak Sangha’s K.H. Patil PU Science and Commerce, College, Hubballi, has scored 670 out of the 720, securing the All-India Ranking of 1,451.
Prerana Residential PU College, Hubballi, has once again registered good results in NEET. Three students, Fiza Anzum (641), Shreyas Fakkirswamy (637), and Vishal Sakri (600) have crossed or touched the 600 mark. Other toppers of the college are K. Chetan (595), Poojya Munyal (591), Sahana (564), Prachi Darak (558), Meghana Patil (553), Chinmay Salmani (547), Basavaraj Ijeri (540), and Ankita Jantli (528).
Aman Shanbhag of JSS R.S. Hukkerikar Arts, Commerce and Science PU College, Dharwad has secured 624 marks and Suraj has secured 607.
Students of Sana Shaheen PU College, Ayesha Siddiqa Dharwad (574), Mohammed Taha (541), Madiha Oomorose (524), and Umme Hifza Bilepasar (512) have topped the college.

More than 500 students from the Al-Ameen Mission’s 70 branches in West Bengal passed the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 with flying colours.
M Noorul Islam, head of the Institution said, “I have had the biggest success this year, as the number of Al Ameen Mission students who have secured 600 and above points in the NEET is around 200.”
Last year, 510 Al Ameen coaching academy students passed the NEET and were accepted into various medical colleges.
According to Islam, the number is likely to be higher this year as his team finalises the list.
Islam said that that the majority of the students are from rural areas and come from remote villages throughout West Bengal.
Kishankur Bhumika, a non-resident student, is this year’s Al-Ameen topper. He received 686 out of 720 points in the NEET and was ranked 427 at the All India level.
Irfan Habib, son of farmer Abdul Subhan of Devcharai village in Tafanganj, Cooch Behar, has received the highest marks among the mission’s resident students. He received 685 points and is ranked 594th in the all-India list. Aside from that, many Al Amneen Mission students scored more than 650 points on the NEET.
Akhtari Parveen, a female student at Al-Ameen Mission, is among the achievers . She has been a student at Al Ameen Mission’s Khalatpur campus since Class VII. She got 653 marks in NEET with the help of Al Ameen Mission and her all-India rank is 3915.
Al-Ameen Mission, based in Howrah, has produced over 3500 doctors (MBBS & BDS) and 3000 engineers, in addition to scores of researchers, administrative officers, teachers, and professors.
Nurul Islam founded the organisation, which now operates 70 coaching institutes in 20 West Bengal districts.
The organisation educates 17,000 residential students and employs over 3000 teachers and non-teaching staff. The main campus of Al-Ameen Mission is in the West Bengal district of Howrah, at Khalatpur (Udaynarayanpur).
“We utilize Zakat and Sadaqah funds to achieve our goal and play our role in nation building. We urge the community members to support our efforts ” Islam told Muslim Mirror.
“Most of the students who have qualified NEET from Al Ameen Mission belong to very poor backgrounds and weaker sections of society. We nurture their talent, develop their intellect and provide them a good environment so that they could come out with their best,” he said.

Nilufar Ahmed, a 2nd-semester student of the Bachelor of Computer Application (CT&IS) programme at Assam down town University, scripted history when she emerged victorious with the Gold medal in the 60-65 kg category at the 44th National Arm-Wrestling Championship held in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Championship was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Arm Wrestling Association. It was held between August 18 – 22 at Ganderbal, J&K.
She also secured the “Champion of the Champions” title in the All-Women’s category at the same event and is, therefore, attained the undisputed No. 1position among all women players of all categories.
The Assam Women’s team was adjudged the best team at this event.
Earlier this year, she participated in the district-level and state-level Arm Wrestling Championships held in Bihdia and Nagaon respectively, where she bagged the Gold in both these events. These victories paved the way for her entry into the National Championships this year.
Before Nilufar ventured into arm wrestling, she was a proficient taekwondo player but had to withdraw due to some injuries. Her entry into the arm wrestling sport has been quite a recent phenomenon and it has been just a few months since she first started practicing the sport on a whim.
Her coach Mr. Debajit Sharma, who is a popular figure in the sport of arm wrestling introduced her to the sport of arm wrestling and trained her. With sheer hard work and a Never Say Die attitude, she has been able to conquer her fears and emerge victorious.
She is the daughter of Mustaque Ahmed and Safia Begum of Guwahati, who are very supportive of her sporting aspirations.
Nilufar is now preparing to achieve greater heights by practicing for forthcoming arm wrestling championships in the international arena.

Youth are the future of any sports and Oman Cricket (OC) is a firm believer in grooming the youngsters in the country.
With an aim to provide a strong foundation, Oman Cricket has roped in an energetic partner in Majees Technical Services (MTS).
Oman is all set to host the prestigious ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) Division 2- Asia from September 29-October 7 and the partnership agreement between OC and MTS comes as a perfect boost for the national team.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the OC headquarters on Thursday, Ishrath Habibulla, MTS managing director, said, “It is a matter of great pride to join the Oman Cricket family. We are a young company and have been in service for past 15 years. So our focus and aim is to associate ourselves with a similar age-group bracket. The U19 cricket development perfectly matches our ambitions and we are happy to join the journey with Oman Cricket.”
Habibulla, who himself has been an active cricketer in domestic league during his young days, said ‘the remarkable growth of Oman Cricket has made all cricket fans proud’. “We have also fielded team in the Oman Cricket Premier Division last season and had a decent outing. Our love for the game is now further strengthened by our association with U19 cricket,” he said.
The MTS top official said that ‘the journey with Oman Cricket’ and supporting the youth [U19] is the way forward for his company.
Oman Cricket Chairman H E Pankaj Khimji termed the partnership ‘a positive development for the youth cricket’.
After signing the agreement in the presence of the OC board treasurer Alkesh Joshi, OC board member Kiran Asher and OC chief development officer Duleep Mendis, H E Khimji said, “U19 cricket is a very important stage in the development of the game and for the future of our national team. We have witnessed the talent of our U19 players who have grown into our national team stars. The likes of Jatinder Singh, Aqib Ilyas, Sufiyan Mahmood and Wasim Ali have proved their credentials.
“The support we will get for the U19 team from Majees will help us nurture more players in the future. We thank them for their partnership as our boys prepare for the ICC U19 Men’s CWC-Division 2 tournament in Oman later this month.”
H E Khimji said, “Oman cricket’s rise at the global stage is evident and in cricket parlance, we are now a recognised commodity. This has been a result of the success in hosting successfully the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup last year and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier earlier this year. Our national team’s success at international level has got the corporates notice the value of supporting the game. We hope to give our partners the value in investing with us.”
On this occasion, Mendis said, “The U19 squad acts a feeder for the national team. To get a partner for the young team is an encouraging development that will go a long way in giving a boost to the youth cricket structure in the country.

Winners of 2ndAMP National Awards for Social Excellence (NASE) 2022 was announced yesterday, on the evening of Independence Day, 15th August in an eagerly awaited function graced by honourable guests and large gathering of participants from across India.
More than 2000 NGOs and individuals were nominated, out of which close to 380 were shortlisted for the various Awards.

He further said the AMP believes in Collaboration rather than Competition and added that we would like to learn from the successes of other NGOs working at the local level and help them in implementing the various successful projects of AMP in their geographies so maximum people can benefit.
Mr. Farook Siddiqui, Project Head – NGO Connect and the driving force behind the Awards along with his team, hosted the felicitation programme. He said AMP has been working on NGO Connect since last 5 years and implementing its 3Es projects in – Education, Employment Assistance and Empowerment domains. We decided to honour the NGOs & Changemakers as they are like the Gems & Jewels in the progress of our Nation.
